Sambaa KSA国际影视传媒檈SA国际影视传媒檚 Ruby Jumbo was named 2017SA国际影视传媒檚 Outstanding SAO of the Year by the Local Government Administrators of the NWT (LGANT) at the organizationSA国际影视传媒檚 annual general meeting on Oct. 5 in Yellowknife.
While Jumbo earned this distinction as band manager, she has been working for the Sambaa KSA国际影视传媒檈 First Nation in a variety of different positions for 23 years. According to LGANT president Grant Hood, sheSA国际影视传媒檚 displayed a commitment to improving her community and supporting its members in advancing themselves through education and employment.
Jumbo has also advocated for incorporating traditional practices into the workplace throughout her career.
