in Kugluktuk have opened an investigation after the discovery of human remains just outside the community.
A release from police indicated that the remains were found at 4 Mile Bay, which is located around 10 kilometres from Kugluktuk. The release added that the remains were recovered and were transported back to Kugluktuk.
An investigation is now underway to try and identify the remains with the territory's coroner's office also involved. The coroner's office investigates all sudden, unnatural, unexpected, unattended and unexplained deaths in the territory and try to come up with a cause of death.
