Team Nunavut falls in first two indoor volleyball matches at Canada Games

Some scores were close, but territory's athletes still looking to win a set

Team Nunavut played its first indoor volleyball games on Tuesday, but failed to win a set against their opponents.

The women's team fell in three sets to Newfoundland by scores of 25-14, 25-17 and 25-21.

In the men's game, Team Nunavut was a bit closer against PEI, but ultimately dropped three straight sets 25-19, 25-23 and 25-15.

On Wednesday, both squads will have more opportunities to try to win their first set at the games.

The women's side will play the Northwest Territories and PEI, while the men's will face the Northwest Territories and Yukon on Thursday.
