The NWT Health and Social Services Authority is holding a pop-up, walk-in clinic on June 7 at Yellowknife Public Health to help protect young children against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR).
The clinic, open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4702 Franklin Ave., is for families with children under two years old. Infants aged 6 to 12 months may be eligible for an early MMR dose if travelling to places with higher measles risk.
Children aged 12 months to 2 years can receive their routine first dose, and, in some cases, an early second dose if needed for travel or outbreak protection, according to the health authority.
Routine immunizations for children less than two years old will also be available.
Those unable to attend can book an appointment later in June by calling 867-767-9120, the authority notes.
