Summer student staffing is down this year, according to the GNWT.

Officials told SA国际影视传媒 that the territory employed 257 students as of July 28 with 10 hires in progress.

"The number of summer student hires is slightly lower this year compared to previous summers," GNWT spokesperson Toyeke Adedipe acknowledged. "In previous years, a larger number of students were brought on to support a large-scale seasonal activity that was not conducted this summer.  "

In 2024, the GNWT brought aboard 295 students, 338 in 2023 and 327 in 2022, Adedipe added.
