Born on February 14,1938, in Fort Ross, Northwest Territories, and passed peacefully on June 21, 2025, in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, Bella was surrounded by love in her final days.
Bella was predeceased by her parents, Ernie and Nipisha, her sisters Winnifred, Barbara, and Sylvia, her brothers Frederick, Pat, Bill, Dennis, and Johnny, her sister-in-law Margaret, and her beloved grandsons Jason and Ronald.
She leaves to mourn her children: Wilfred (Ruth), Linda (Roche), and Ronalda (Andy); her grandchildren: Doug, Brent, Randy, Nicole (Blair), Melynda (Johnny), Axel (Leanne), Tara, Sam, and Liam; her great-grandchildren: Talia (David), Rocco, Lincoln, Malcolm, Madison, Lucas, Kendra Olivia, Zoe, Ayisha, Tysean, Emma, Finley, Sophia, Harrison, Avva, Harper and Carmen; and great-great-grandchildren: Adele and Indiana.
Bella is also survived by her sisters Betty and Kathy (Dean), her brothers Charlie and Bobby (Elizabeth), sisters-in-law Leah, Jessie, and Kristine, along with numerous nieces and nephews, many dear friends, and her wonderful caregivers.
Bella will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and the deep love she had for her family and community. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed but forever cherished in our memories and hearts. Her Celebration of Life was be held on July 5, 2025 at the Luke Novoligak Community Hallat 1PM.
