The NWT Agrifood Association is hosting its annual NWT Culinary Festival in Yellowknife from July 24 to July 27.
The event has tasty activities taking place across the city. A full schedule of events can be found .
Connie Wilson, collaboration coordinator with the association, told SA国际影视传媒 on July 21 that, for this year, the festival has gone back to its roots of being a street festival.

Some of those new additions include an added country foods corner, where guests can learn about traditional fish and meat smoking. They'll also get a chance to scrape an animal hide, Wilson said. That event will be happening on 50 Street, beside the association's Tastes of the North store. The store is where the Brown Bag Lunch is set to occur on July 25, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The free lunch for up to 200 people, will feature food grown, harvested or made in the territory.
SA国际影视传媒淧eople can also take a respite indoors, if needed, and, of course, do a little local food shopping,SA国际影视传媒� Wilson noted.
During the weekend, she said the association is putting together what it calls a "FEASTival," also on 50 Street. Wilson described it as a celebration of Northern foods, producers and businesses.
SA国际影视传媒淵ellowknifers can expect amazing flavours, lots of fun food-related activities, cooking demos with guest chefs, pop-up freebies throughout the weekend, a local beer garden and local music,SA国际影视传媒� she said.
This year's culinary festival also features four special guests: Dave Gillespie, Matt Consiglio, Stephanie Baryluk and Jenni Lessard.
Baryluk and Lessard are working together to showcase a menu rooted in Indigenous heritage at an event called 'From the Lake and Land,' according to the festival's website. That is scheduled to happen on July 25 at Northern United Place.
Consiglio and Gillespie are set to take part in other activities during the festival.
A market garden tour, medicine walks and a showcase of ethnic cuisine under the name 'Global Bites' are among the other events planned.
In the lead up to the main events, the Yellowknife Visitor Centre has been offering daily 'taste teasers' from July 20-24 to whet people's appetites. That's been happening from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
