The search for a missing Arctic Bay teen has concluded when it comes to official resources.
announced on Tuesday that Nunavut Emergency Management (NEM) in consultation with those involved in the operation to find Richard Jr. Bohlender, who hasn't been seen since June 28.
Bohlender was first reported missing on June 30 with search efforts beginning shortly thereafter.
In a release issued by police on Tuesday, it indicated that ground search and rescue (GSAR) volunteers were dispatched with help from the Canadian Rangers. Aerial assets also joined the search along with several officers, aerial drones and a police dog unit flown in from Quebec.
NEM also sent a search and rescue co-ordinator to help with the search operation.
Bohlender is described as an Inuk male with black hair, brown eyes, 5'4" tall and 140 lbs. His nickname is Jaaji.
While the search has officially finished, police indicated that the file is still open as Bohlender is deemed missing.
