Fuel prices for the 12 communities the GNWT supplies have been updated for the summer season.

An announcement was released July 14.

"In some instances, the changes are small and only impact a few fuel types," reads the announcement. "The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is required to set retail fuel prices at amounts that recover the full laid-in cost of fuel, which includes the wholesale purchase cost and all transportation costs.

"Prices are adjusted at least twice per calendar year, after the summer barge resupply and after the winter road resupply, to correspond with changes to the cost of petroleum products and transporting these products to communities."

Communities which have received updated prices are Colville Lake, D茅l谋台n臋, Fort Good Hope, Gamet矛, Jean Marie River, Nahanni Butte, Sambaa KSA国际影视传媒檈 Tsiigehtchic. Tulita, Wekwe猫t矛, What矛, and Wrigley. Communities not updated are LutselkSA国际影视传媒檈, Paulatuk, Sachs Harbour and Ulukhaktok.

A next update is scheduled for February 2026. Read the list of new fees
