Moose Kerr students get out to the land at Ivvavik National Park

Project Jewel brings youth and Elders together on historical grounds

For the second year in a row, youth from Aklavik's Moose Kerr School had a graduation trip to remember.

The class was able to spend five days at Imnairvik Base Camp in Ivvavik National Park as part of the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation's project Jewel in partnership with Parks Canada. Youth learned the history of the region from the Elders and were able to get practice in traditional crafts.
