Iqaluit seize cocaine; two men charged

Prohibited weapons and cash also allegedly found

After executing search warrants at two Iqaluit residences, the seized an unspecified quantity of drugs, prohibited weapons and cash on May 12. 

Two individuals were subsequently charged, according to a police news release issued on June 6.   

Jamesie Nauyuk, 41, is faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Roger Kilabuk, 35, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

Both accused are scheduled to appear in court on July 17 in Iqaluit.
