Team Nunavut closed out the first week of the Canada Summer Games without a win in their first two sports, losing consolation matches across men's and women's basketball and beach volleyball tournaments on Aug. 15.

The men's beach volleyball duo dropped two straight sets against the Northwest Territories squad, 21-8 and 21-15. Women's beach volleyball was a closer finish for the territory, but still ended with the same result against Yukon, 21-16 and 21-17.

In basketball, the women's team lost against the Northwest Territories, 55-26. Similarly, the men's basketball team dropped their match against Prince Edward Island by a score of 83-48. This was the first year Nunavut sent basketball teams to the Canada Summer Games.

The wrestling and indoor volleyball teams are Team Nunavut's next appearances as the games moves into week two beginning on Monday.
